Over the weekend, customers at Hayes Valley's the Pampered Girl salon were robbed at gunpoint by a man dressed in all black and armed with a handgun. According to police, there were three customers in the salon at the time and the gunman approached each of them and demanded their wallets, cellphones and other valuable items.
The salon itself and the employees were not robbed in the incident. The pedicure pilferer fled the scene and is still on the loose. Police say robberies in the neighborhood are rare, but anyone who might have seen anything is asked to contact SFPD at (415) 575-4444 or via a text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
