Here we go, folks. After failing to reach an agreement, BART workers will go on strike starting at midnight. While the union and BART management could agree on heath care and pension, "the two sides still could not come to agreement on other issues."

ATU Local 1555, who represents 945 agents, and SEIU Local, who represents 1,430 mechanics and clerical workers, have been under negotiations since April. This will be the second strike of the year.

All of the major stations are having breaking reports. This is the release they've been aching for all week. It's quite spectacular.

Unless something happens before midnight, brace yourselves for Friday morning's commute.
