Despite being a city with a ridiculously low percentage of families with children, San Francisco has once again topped all other cities in the nation on a list of best places for trick-or-treating.

Real estate site Zillow has been making this list for several years now, and S.F. previously hit number one in 2011. The methodology behind the ranking has to do with average home prices, crime rates, density, and walkability, and certainly it doesn't hurt when you consider what average incomes are in some of are lowest-crime, most walkable neighborhoods.

Behind S.F. this year are Boston, Honolulu, San Jose, Seattle, and Los Angeles.

Zillow suggests that the best places for hitting up houses for free candy are some of our wealthiest enclaves: Noe Valley, Seacliff, Cow Hollow, Presidio Heights and Glen Park. Just beware of anything involving carob, or any uptight mother who would dare try to pass out fresh fruit or fruit roll-ups or anything disgusting like that. Just feel sorry for her children and move on.
