When last we checked in with "Looking," HBO's forthcoming non-dramedy original series about gay video game designers, the crew was looking for a few gay, hipster and gay-hipster extras to dress up their real world sets in the Castro, the Mission and even a retired U.S. Navy ship in Alameda.
A few weeks into filming and Director of Photography Reed Morano has been documenting the show's progress. While some of these look like actual, lit scenes for film, keep in mind some of them are just candids of the cast on set and scouting shots.

Of course, these are just Instagram shots so don't get your mantanks all in a wad if the show comes out looking wildly different. Either way, Morano seems to be enamored with our city: She's totally into the fog as well as the the morning light, and in an off-set "#sanfrancisco #moment" Morano even got a tattoo at Black Heart next door to Zeitgeist in the Mission.
Also, fun fact: she's one of only 11 women in the 339-member American Society of Cinematographers.
