A double shooting in the Potrero Hill neighborhood on Thursday night left one man dead and a woman injured. The incident happened a little before 8 PM near 23rd and Arkansas streets.

"Officers found a man and a woman, both in their 20s, suffering from gunshot wounds," reports SF Appeal. "They were taken to San Francisco General Hospital where the man died. The woman suffered gunshot wounds to her arm and leg and is expected to survive."

The aftermath also turned frantic as a crowd gathered and, at least according to SFPD, needed to be tamed. KTVU has more: "Additional officers were dispatched to address the crowd and pepper spray was used by officers to disperse those gathered."

No arrests have been made. And no description of the suspect or suspects are available.

Anyone with information about the shooting should call the SFPD anonymous tip line at 415-575-4444 or to via tip by text message to TIP411 with "SFPD" in the message.
