A cab driver was stabbed in the Potrero Hill neighborhood last night after a 17-year-old was unable to pay his cab fare. This all happened around 10:30 p.m. Thursday. Luckily, the teen was caught by cops posthaste.

After arriving at a home at 19th and De Haro Streets the teen passenger initially gave the cab driver his cell phone as collateral while he went into the home to get some money. He returned a few minutes later with no cash, but demanded he get his phone back. The driver refused, and the kid proceeded to stab the driver in the neck with a box cutter. Charming.

He then ran off, but police quickly found him nearby and arrested him. His name isn't being released because he's a juvenile.
