Teen boy band One Direction played Oakland's Oracle Arena last night, and by all accounts they were OMG so awesome and Harry's hair looked amazing and every tween and teenage girl in the region who got to go can totally die now. But things were less happy for a number of girls (and probably a few boys) who found out too late that the boys were doing a meet-and-greet yesterday afternoon at Stoneridge Mall in Pleasanton while shooting an ad for Macy's. As NBC Bay Area dutifully reports, the tweets were, well, quite sad.
See below for the sorry evidence of some missed brushes with fame and beauty. And see the video above for some bootleg evidence of last night's show, featuring the section of the show in which they actually respond to fans' tweets.
Also below, their latest video for "Best Song Ever," in which they all play multiple characters in disguise, and Zayn dresses in drag and dances with himself. That video has racked up almost 50 million views in 10 days, btw.
I STILL CAN'T GET OVER THE FACT THAT THE BOYS WERE AT MY LOCAL MALL WHICH WAS 15 MINS OR LESS AWAY. IM SO PISSED AND SAD. FML
