Today, designers, is Tim Gunn's 60th birthday. The universally loved mentor on all twelve seasons of Project Runway has become a celebrity and fashion icon in his own right, and is probably the most popular persona on the show given how bitchy the rest of them are though we sorely miss the Paul Lynde-esque wit of Michael Kors, who's no longer a regular judge. In Tim's honor, we bring you a couple highlight reels of his always articulate and often hilarious encouragement and critiques. But first, above, his 2010 appearance on CBS's "I Get That A Lot," in which he pretended to be an anonymous employee at a hot dog shop in New Jersey called Johnny and Hanges.

And finally, the beat-down he gave to lame, manipulative Gretchen during Season 8, before she went on to beat Mondo and win the whole thing.
