Early Sunday morning in the Bayview, a female suspect wearing all black lured one resident of Palou Avenue to his door around 12:15 a.m. After convincing the man to open the his security gate, two male suspects burst in, stabbed the guy and attempted to burglarize his home.
A neighbor called the police, who arrived to find one of the three suspects trying to leave through the front gate of the home just off Third Street. The suspect turned around and tried to escape through a back window, only to injure himself and possibly break his leg in the process. SFPD officers, who had already surrounded the home, confiscated his handgun and took him into custody in the back yard.
Both the suspect and the victim were taken to S.F. General to be treated for their injuries, which were not life-threatening.
It is currently unclear whether the knife-happy home invaders managed to steal anything during their break-in, but the other male suspect and their female accomplice are still on the loose. The man is believed to be a black male between 45 and 55 years old, described as 6-feet about 200 lbs. He is believed to be armed and wearing all black clothing. The woman is also black, about 5-foot-6, unknown age and also wearing all black clothing.
As usual, anyone with any information about the suspects or the robbery is encouraged to call SFPD's anonymous tipline at (415) 515-4444 or via text message to TIP 411, with "SFPD" in the message.
