The driver of a big-rig truck this a.m. tried to fit his mammoth vehicle through one of the narrow car lanes at the Golden Gate Bridge toll plaza, and got stuck. The truck was still being removed as of 9:40 a.m. this morning, and had done some damage to the toll plaza in the process.

A spokesperson for the bridge, Mary Currie, said the damage was not serious.

This is all happening while traffic in general is slightly worse than usual due to a certain transit strike, though commuters coming in from Marin are a little less likely to be affected because they were too good for BART from the beginning.

Luckily, since the tolls are now unmanned, no one in a toll booth was injured.

And was it so foggy over there this morning that this guy couldn't figure out he wasn't going to fit until it was too late?
