On Monday, June 24th two suspects exited a vehicle at the intersection of West Point and Middle Point Roads in the Bayview and shot 19-year-old Jaquan Rice and a 17-year-old female victim while they sat at a Muni shelter in broad daylight. On Wednesday, San Francisco Police announced they have arrested two suspects, one 20 and one 14 years old in connection with Rice's murder.

Rice died from gunshot wounds, but the female victim was treated at S.F. General and survived. After a two-day investigation coordinated between the SFPD's Homicide Unit, Gang Task Force and Criminal Investigations Unit, Police announced they have taken 20-year-old Derrick Hunter of San Francisco into custody along with a 14-year-old male juvenile suspect.

SFPD is still investigating what may have lead to the shooting on Monday, which marked the city's 18th homicide this year.
