New T-Shirt Draws Attention To The Mission's Eviction Crisis

New T-Shirt Draws Attention To The Mission's Eviction Crisis

Mia Gonzalez, owner of Encantada Gallery in the Mission, received an eviction notice from the darling little store she's run for more than 16 years. She responded by designing this powerful shirt.

Friend of SFist David Lytle reports: "You might know the shop from its love of calaveras, those awesome Los Gigantes T-shirts, and all things Frida Kahlo. Unsure that she can defeat the eviction against the new owners of the building, she's responded with this T-Shirt to draw attention to the affects of urban renewal on long-term small business owners."

Meanwhile, you can grab one for yourself at Encantada Gallery at 908 Valencia Street (at 20th Street). (Not to be worn while waiting in line for food, ideally.)
