Police are looking for a man who sexually assaulted a 10-year-old boy inside the Adventure Playground bathroom at 160 University Aveune on Tuesday. At around 1 pm, a the victim told his mother he needed to use the bathroom, she let him use the facilities by himself which is when he encountered his assailant.
After the attack, the boy ran out of the bathroom and told his parents who called authorities.
"Police did not have a complete description of the suspect, but said they are looking for an African-American man with blonde hair with green streaks in it," reports Oakland Tribune. "Police did not know if the man was wearing a wig." The suspect was also reportedly wearing a green shirt, blue jeans and black sneakers.
Members of the East Bay Regional Parks Police and Department of Fish and Game also joined in on the search, but with no luck yet in finding the suspect. The Chronicle notes that "along with the helicopter search, officers fanned out on foot, on motorcycles, bicycles and patrol cars to search possible hiding places along the shoreline."
