76 years after the first outdoor concert in Stern Grove, the annual festival series is still going strong and admission-free out there in the Outer Sunset. This year, the festival begins on June 16th with The Big Picnic and continues with presumably lesser picnics every Sunday through the middle of August.
Musically speaking, we're most excited to see Geographer with string accompaniment on July 14th, but you really can't go wrong with any Sunday out in the sun with a picnic. (We'll even listen to Michael McDonald if you feed us enough nice cheese.) Pro-tip: becoming a festival member means you can secure one of the picnic tables at a concert of your choice and, in our experience, comes with buckets of free wine.
