As Sunday's much-anticipated season premiere of Game of Thrones approaches, we're embracing all things Westeros (if you don't know what that means, it's probably best for everyone if you stop reading here).

Last week's preview screening of the premiere at the Palace of Fine Arts saw some actors, producers, and George R. R. Martin himself in attendance, but most impressively, it served as a venue for local catering outfit Taste Catering to get creative with their event menu.

Highlights included:

A "Night's Watch" Treacle Glazed Chicken Sandwich On Petite English Muffin with Coleman's Mustard and Creamy Turnip Cabbage Slaw (with Winterfell Flag). Almost persuasive enough to get us to pledge eternal celibacy to the Night's Watch. Almost.

A "House Baratheon" Skewer Station with Cider Glazed Pork Skewers and Cider Gravy, reminiscent of that time Robert Baratheon was gored by a wild boar while highly intoxicated.

The "King’s Landing Midnight Plate": Braised Angus Beef Short Ribs on a bed of Celery Root Puree with Sherry Reduction & First Crop Spring Asparagus. Fit for a vindictive, sadistic child king.

Desserts such as "Sansa’s Lemon Cakes", "Lannister’s Sinful Chocolate Cremeux",
"Wine Poached Pears of Highgarden with Almond Crumble" and the impressive Game Of Thrones House Sigils Chocolates.

Or just to fix yourself a plate of Baby Dragon Egg on Black Forbidden Rice. Because the funny thing about the Earth's rotation around the Sun is that winter is always coming.
