It's been kind of a bad day for the local marijuana industry, what with that hostage situation at a warehouse grow in the Bayview and all. But on the other side of town, in the Inner Sunset, there was a fire at a grow in a three-story home at 1767 Eighth Avenue that resulted in one 50-year-old firefighter sustaining some injuries. He is said to have fell down a flight of stairs and injured his shoulder.

It's unclear if this grow was legal or illegal, but we'll guess the latter. Firefighters found over 100 plants growing in the building's garage and the floor above it, with lights and other growing equipment, and the fire is being investigated as an accident.

This news follows on the discovery by police of another illegal grow operation on Stillman Street two weeks ago, and several grow house robberies and fires in the last year.
