Because no matter how lonely you might feel today, you are not as bad off as this guy. Meet Mark. He's 20. For six years he's been "in a relationship" with 15 inflatable pool toys. He nuzzles them. He talks to them. He says, "It's really nice to have somebody to talk to." Oy.
He went on TLC's My Strange Addiction, of course, and seems to be on his way to becoming a normal human being who might have a girlfriend or boyfriend someday. We wish him the best. And Happy Valentine's Day, everyone.
