A car crash on a remote Kern County highway resulted in the death of four Oakland teenagers. According to Oakland Tribune, "Kern County officials told The Bakersfield Californian that Malia Moa, David Moa, Rachel Fisiiahi and George Moa died at the scene after the SUV George Moa was driving smashed into the center divider on Highway 58 east of Mojave Monday afternoon."

All four victims were 19-years-old.

One of the victims, David Moa, was in the process of training with the Laney College football team. The team's coach John said of Moa, "He had a real gentle soul ... He had a good smile on his face. And he was finding himself."

The group was heading back home from watching a rugby game with relatives in Las Vegas.
