The North Bay has been shaken this week with news of a murdered 13-year-old girl, whose naked body was discovered in a Fairfield park one day after she went missing. Genelle Conway-Allen disappeared shortly after getting off a school bus on the border of Suisun City and Fairfield, and was seen walking along Railroad Avenue on the afternoon of January 31.

Genelle and her brother were in foster care, and her foster parents reported her missing at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. A homeless man discovered her body the next morning about 4 miles away in Allan Witt Park.

The FBI has now joined in on the hunt for the girl's killer, and the manager of Major Market in Fairfield, near where she was last seen, now says he may have spoken to the girl that afternoon. Manager Ibrahim Mohammad says he asked a girl fitting her description, who was standing outside the store, if she was waiting for a ride, and she said yes.

Anyone with any information is being encouraged to call the Fairfield police anonymous tip line at 707-428-7345.
