Word to the wise, everyone: When you are mugged at 4 a.m., assuming you are not armed, you are best to hand over your wallet or cell phone. A 30-year-old man was mugged around 4 a.m. Monday morning near 30th and Mission by three suspects between 20 and 30 years old. When they demanded money, he said no, and then one of the suspects pulled out a handgun.
It's unclear how quickly this all took place, but the suspect shot the victim in the hand, and three suspects then fled. They have not been found, and as always, tips are appreciated at 415-575-4444 or by text to TIP411.
The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
