Meet Mr. Teeth. As you can see, he is a rather large reptile. So what was this dinosaur doing living in Castro Valley, California? He wasn't lounging about eating chucksteaks at the zoo. That would be too obvious. Unlike his reptilian brethren in the wild, who just sort of hang out waiting for deer to come wandering by, Mr. Teeth was put to work guarding a $100,000, 34-pound stash of Marijuana.

Mr. Teeth was found living in a plexiglas tank in a bedroom at the home of 32-year-old suspected weed dealer Assif Mayar on Wednesday when Alameda County Sheriff's deputies dropped in for a probation checkup. Mayar is now facing drug possession and sales charges. He apparently purchased the beast way back in 1996 to commemorate the death of Tupac Shakur — a fitting tribute to 'Pac if there ever was one.

The dwarf caiman, which is related to an alligator, was later taken to the Oakland Zoo to live out his days as a proper member of the domesticated animal kingdom. Unfortunately, those days were few and like Tupac himself, Mr. Teeth was taken from us too soon. Zoo officials confirmed that he died Wednesday night due to stress and complications stemming from living in a tiny tank with a drug dealer-owner in suburban California.

In addition to the drug charges, Mayar is now facing additional animal cruelty charges and possession of an illegal exotic animal. For now, Mayar also been placed in captivity at Santa Rita jail in nearby Dublin, where we imagine his new guard dogs are much less toothy.

So long, Mr. Teeth, we hardly knew you, but you're still legendary in our minds:
