Afternoon Palate Cleanser: 'Hard Candy Christmas' by Tracey Thorn

Tracey Thorn, of Everything But the Girl fame, has put out a Christmas album called Tinsel and Lights, and we have to say it's pretty good. It has a few originals on it, like this song "Joy," for which she made a video. But it's primarily covers of modern classics like Joni Mitchell's "River," and, of course, the Dolly Parton classic "Hard Candy Christmas" from The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas.
