Once again, we're left waiting to hear if and how the Supreme Court is going to address the various legal challenges to gay marriage laws around the country. At their meeting today, though they had on their agenda to discuss whether to take on appeals related to the Defense of Marriage Act and Prop 8, they announced nothing with regard to their intentions for the cases. SCOTUS did, however, say they would take on two other cases that were agenda items today.

On Monday we'll hear an official announcement of what SCOTUS plans to add to its 2013 docket, and it's still possible one or more of the gay marriage issues will be included. But as the Wall Street Journal reports, it's more likely that they've tabled the issue again for further discussion at their next private conference on December 7.
