Just before midnight Thursday, a 21-year-old victim got another reason to hate Muni when he was reportedly stabbed in the head at the Powell Street Muni Metro station. The victim managed to get himself to San Francisco General Hospital where he was treated for his injuries, which were not considered life-threatening. His attacker, however, had not been arrested as of Friday morning.

The suspect is simply described as a man in his late 30s, probably carrying something sharp. If anyone happened to be waiting on a Muni Metro train last night and saw the stabbing go down, they are encouraged to call SFPD's anonymous tip line at (415) 575-4444 or send a tip by text message to TIP411.

If that doesn't help find the guy, expect SFPD to release security camera footage or cellphone photos asking for help identifying the guy, which seems to be SFPD's most effective tactic these days.
