Larry Baer Presented With First-Ever 'Broom to the City'

At today's City Hall celebration for your World Champion San Francisco Giants, Mayor Ed Lee presented team CEO Larry Baer with the key to the city, followed by the first-ever "Broom to the City" for sweeping the World Series.

As the former Department of Public Works director, Ed Lee knows "a lot about sweeping" he told the crowd gathered in Civic Center Plaza this afternoon. Appropriately enough, a DPW worker in a high-visibility vest was on hand to present the golden broom to Baer.
