Phone calls are going out today to restaurants who received coveted Michelin Guide 2013 stars. We'll update as the winners trickle in. But, as of right now, we can tell you that SPQR in the Fillmore received a (well-deserved) star for its fare care of Chef Matthew Accarrino (who took over after James Beard winner Nate Appleman ditched SF for New York City and, oddly enough, Chipotle). Update II: Mission District gem Saison retained its two stars, at least according to Twitter chatter. In more pressing news, Saison's Joshua Skenes got to meet Samantha Micelli.
