A large street fight broke out after last call in the Mission early Tuesday morning. Police responding to the scene around 2 a.m. arrived to find some 20 people fighting in the street at the always lively intersection of 16th and Valencia. One man was found lying in the street and had to be taken to the hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries.

A second victim was also taken to the hospital, but he is expected to be just fine. No arrests had been made as of this morning.

No word yet on what sparked the big brawl last night, but SFPD does not believe the incident was gang related and we're pretty sure it had nothing to do with the awesomely cheap pupusas at Panchita's #2.
