A 27-year-old man wearing a Dallas Cowboys t-shirt to Sunday's Niners game to Candlestick Park became the victim of a life-threatening stab wound after two trash talking suspects confronted his group of friends as they headed to the game.
According to SFPD, the confrontation began outside Candlestick on Harney Way near Jamestown Avenue around 1:30 p.m. yesterday. A friend of the victim told KTVU, it begane as "just trash talking about sports. The men thought it would be fun to antagonize my friend."
At some point during the confrontation, one of the suspects pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in the torso. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for life-threatening injuries while two of his friends chased down the suspects and his girlfriend tracked down security.
Both suspects were apprehended a few blocks away at Blanken Ave and Executive Park Boulevard. According to SFPD, the suspects were a 22-year-old man from Daly City and a 30-year-old from San Francisco. The victim is expected to survive his injuries and SFPD claims both the victim and the attackers had planned to attend yesterday's game against the New York Giants.
