Shots rang out multiple times across East Oakland over the course of twelve hours last night, leaving four victims dead in three separate incidents. The first occurred around 9 p.m. on MacArthur Boulevard near 90th Avenue where the male victim was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and pronounced dead on the scene.
Later, around 10:20 p.m. Monday evening, a second man was found also suffering from multiple gunshot wounds near MacArthur Boulevard and Fruitvale Avenue, a few blocks from the Glenview Elementary school. The second man was also pronounced dead on the scene.
Earlier this morning officers from Oakland's understaffed police department were on the scene of another fatal shooting on 72nd Avenue and International Boulevard near the Hegenberger Expressway. Details are still scarce on this morning's incident, but Bay City News reports there were two victims.
Back in August, that same neighborhood saw another homicide less than a block away when a man was shot in the drive-thru of a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant.
