A first-of-its-kind annual shindig is happening this weekend at 550 Barneveld, and it's called Stereo. It's a multi-room, multi-media affair featuring a DJ set from Ladytron, famed Sugar DJ Ellen Ferrato, an 80s room full of free-play old-school arcade, and more. Also, it goes well into the after-hours, if you like that sort of thing.
Space 550, a.k.a. 550 Barneveld is a commitment, we know, but in the age of Uber and Lyft maybe it won't be so hard to get home afterwards. And/or get a more sober friend to drive.
The details: DJ sets from Reuben Wu of Ladytron fame, and Helen Eugene of Super Square, along with live 3D visuals from Jim Hopkins of Twitch
Recordings; an 80s/90s room with the B.O.L.T. (The Bureau of Low Technology) Lounge by Blasthaus.com featuring a live 80s Arcade and 3D games, a Pong Tournament and 90s House sets from the legendary Ellen Ferrato (Sugar, Buzz), DJ Guy Ruben (DJGuyRuben.com); and an outdoor lounge featuring an 80s set by Omar Perez of Pop Scene.
Freeplay games include Ms. Pacman, Tron, Donkey Kong, and Centipede. And the first 500 guests get complimentary 3D glasses.
