We never really got Steve Martin. We have nothing against the noted comedian, but, like most male funny men of his ilk (Bill Murray, et al.), we never grasped his brand of humor. He's the Liza Minnelli for intelligent funny people of a certain age in that his fans never seem to tire of him and cannot resist rooting for the guy. Which we mean in the nicest way possible.
