A rare blue moon will be visible in the sky tonight (provided that said sky isn't in San Francisco). A blue moon, contrary to its cool-hue title, isn't about color but instead when a full moon appears twice in one month.

"The rare occurrence last happened in March 2010," reports SF Appeal/BCN. "The next blue moon will be in July 2015, with full moons on July 2 and July 31."

No word on how the rare moon occurrence will be celebrated at Burning Man 2012 in progress. But you should check out the festivities live tonight to see how they celebrate. A blue moon sounds like something a Burner might hold near and dear to their heart.
