West Portal's Cafe For All Seasons, which looks positively darling from the outside, has been temporarily closed by the Department of Public Health for housing one too many cockroaches. Which is too bad. The place is beloved by some area locals. Anyway, the problem goes deeper than bug infestation.

Inside Scoop reports: "Though the cockroach infestation was the biggest problem, Cafe For All Seasons was guilty of further violations: improper food holding temperatures, improper food handling, inadequate hand washing, lack of food safety knowledge, and delinquent on its business license, just to name a few."

Gulp.

If Cafe for All Seasons cleans up their act, they could reopen as soon as next week. This shut down comes on the heels of Tu Lan, Sixth and Market's popular petri dish for cheap Vietnamese, which was closed by the city for far more egregious health violations.
