19-year-old DeAngelo Eagleton was arrested last week in Chico on an Emeryville Police warrant for the June 4th shooting death of 18 year-old Taranda Monique Jones. Jones was shot inside her home on the 1000 block of 47th Street in Emeryville, and she was Eagleton's girlfriend. It's unclear why it took so long to track him down.

Eagleton was also wanted for a series of robberies in Oakland, in addition to the probable cause warrant for the murder. And Chico authorities arrested him "almost by accident" according to the Tribune, because they were serving a search warrant in an apartment Eagleton shared with another of his girlfriend, and his three-year-old child. In Chico Eagleton was suspected in a series of marijuana-related armed robberies. He gave a false name when they arrested him, having found a cache of guns and pot in the apartment, but they later identified him via his fingerprints and found the warrants in Oakland and Emeryville.

Police in both cities plan to file formal charges in court on Tuesday.
