Pedestrian Critically Injured In Market Street Hit-Run

A 39-year-old victim was left in critical condition at San Francisco General Hospital after being struck by a vehicle while in crossing Market Street around 12:51 a.m. Wednesday morning. The vehicle struck the man on Market between Church and Sanchez Streets and reportedly fled towards Duboce Triangle and the Lower Haight.

The victim was treated for life-threatening injuries at S.F. General this morning. Neither the suspect nor the vehicle have been found as of Wednesday afternoon. Police did not immediately have any more information about the case, but anyone who might have seen something while out strolling on Market Street last night is encouraged to call SFPD's tipline at (415) 575-4444 or via text message to TIP411.
