Tonight at Mr. Smith's in the heart of the city's Mid-Market revitalization district, local independent music concern Noise Pop and noted record store Amoeba Music join forces to present the latest edition of their crowd-sourced, all-vinyl DJ night.
Fans of analog media are invited to bring favorite selections from their own personal record collections, which the celebrity DJ (noted musician about town John Vanderslice, in this case) will play in expertly timed order for the crowd's enjoyment.
Attendees will, of course, get their records back at the end of the night and contributors get a free drink for lending out their precious pieces of wax. The fun starts at 8 p.m. at Mr. Smith's and keeps spinning until everyone takes their records home at Midnight.
