Tonight, after an eight year run in the Lower Haight, the Vapor Room Collective will close it's doors due to pressure from the feds. But the beloved cannabis dispensary isn't just disappearing in a puff of smoke. Instead they'll be hosting friends and colleagues and supporters for a farewell party at Otis Lounge.

While the dispensary itself will close the doors on Lower Haight for the last time at 9 p.m. tonight, the party will continue at Otis Lounge at 25 Maiden Lane near Union Square starting at 10 p.m.

Then, tomorrow, to protest the closure of so many local dispensaries, a pro-medical cannabis group called Save Safe Access will host a New Orleans-style mock funeral procession complete with jazz in the streets and "coffins" for each dispensary laid to rest by Melinda Haag's march against medical marijuana.
