A 17-year-old is in custody today after shooting at and then stabbing his 20-year-old friend on Monday. It happened after the pair were playing an online video game in their respective homes. Either online or over the phone, the (former) friends got into a heated argument. "The 17-year-old stormed his 20-year-old friend's home in the 1500 block of Yosemite Circle about 1:05 p.m., pushed the man's mother aside, then shot at him and stabbed him," reports CoCo Times.

The victim's mother "said her son was stabbed 16 or 17 times and the wounds are superficial." Police later found the suspect at his home, but had to chase him through several suburban yards before apprehending him. The victim was whisked away to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Police are asking anyone with information about the incident to call the Oakley Police Department at 925-625-8855.
