Former GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum wormed his way back into the news the only way he knows how: with confusion and hate. After this week's news that the Jim Henson company parted ways with Chick-Fil-A due to the company president's unfortunate stance against same-sex marriage, and would no longer provide them with toys for kids' meals, Santorum took the offense with one simple tweet about boys and "awesome" peach shakes.

Delightful.

Next Wednesday, Santorum will join Mike Huckabee in Appreciation Day for Chick-fil-A, a day that will pay homage to anti-gay rhetoric and opposition to same-sex marriage. Regarding next week's anti-civil rights day, Huckabee spewed, "Too often, those on the left make corporate statements to show support for same sex marriage, abortion, or profanity, but if Christians affirm traditional values, we're considered homophobic, fundamentalists, hate-mongers, and intolerant." And what better way to uphold said traditional values than by patronizing a fast-food chain.

For his part, Santorum wrote the following on his Facebook wall (while using the good name of poultry in vain!), "Help us fight for traditional families and eat chicken at the same time."
