Tranquil Napa County got a bit of a jolt this week when 36-year-old Robyn Kathleen Gevas was arrested Wednesday night for allegedly stabbing her 62-year-old boyfriend to death with a kitchen knife. Police responding to calls around 10:30 p.m. Wednesday evening arrived to find Gevas still at the scene and her boyfriend, Callie Joshua Evans Jr. fatally wounded.
Evans was pronounced dead around 10:45 p.m. at Queen of the Valley Medical Center. Gevas, meanwhile, was booked at the Napa Police Department on suspicion of murder and committing a felony with a dangerous weapon. According to the Napa Valley Register, the stabbing was the result of an argument between the couple.
While the crime seems pretty self-explanatory, the Napa County Major Crimes Task Force was poring over the scene at the home on Euclid Avenue near Highway 29 yesterday morning. Evans had owned the home since 1976.
