A 54-year-old man was killed last night after a collision sent him flying off his motorcycle and under a passing vehicle. The deceased motorcyclist has been identified as Rick Scheuer, and witnesses say that Scheuer collided with a vehicle next to him as he rounded a curve at Park Presidio Boulevard and Fulton Street.

This all happened just before 8 p.m., and therefore not long before the Fourth of July fireworks.

Per CBS:

Scheuer, a San Francisco resident, was thrown off his motorcycle and was run over by the car. He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead, police said.
