The Tour de France is happening right now, but more importantly yesterday was the 9th annual 4th of July tricycle race at Pop's over on 24th and York. Unlike the TdF, Pop's trike race only has one stage. Similar to the TdF, all tricyclists must dress up in a costume, but for some reason everyone turns up wearing different costumes and at the TdF everyone wears the same thing. And in both races pretty much everyone is doping.

This year reigning champion and Pop's owner Tuffy (pictured in American flag boxing shorts) was dethroned by last year's runner up, Raquel (above in the khaki suit). Raquel's short legs and laser-like focus make her a nimble rider and a fierce competitor. She took home the coveted custom messenger bag from Chrome, glory, and the pride of bringing shame to the defending champion on his home turf.
