Though at times a touch expensive for the average purse strings, we feverishly enjoy RN74. Why? Well, Chef Jason Berthold's ingenious menu is consistently a siren song. Plus, it's inside the Millenium Tower, a sleek downtown building that represents something that some San Franciscans love to hate — namely, that things change. And with that, starting this week, we bring you news that RN74 changes things up with an intriguing $7 happy hour menu.

For a comparatively reasonable $7, you can get smoked salmon beignets with meyer lemon and maple crème fraiche, burrata with grilled mushrooms and pine nuts, old bay fries with Anchor Steam aioli, or chocolate pot de crème. Also, their beer of the day will cost a mere $4. Not bad.

The happy hour begins today, Monday through Friday, running from 4-6 p.m. You'd be wise to clock out of work early to grab a spot.
