Show Dogs has more than doubled its menu and added even more outside seating for the harrowing yet growing mid-Market area since it opened in 2009. And it's high time you checked the place out. In addition to serving house-made sausages (including merguez, wild boar, chicken curry, chicken boudin, and maple bacon), it is perhaps the best place to people watch in the city. (The corner of Market and Golden Gate is always ripe for sanity-estranged fun.)

Some new menu additions include the Elk Burger (with ground free range elk, tomato, frisee, burger sauce, and a choice of sunny side up egg or house made pastrami), B.E.L.T. (with bacon, over easy egg, watercress greens, tomato and sauce on toasted pan de mie), Show Dogs Cheesesteak (featuring sliced ribeye, sharp cheddar, peppers and onions), and the Show Dogs Pastrami Reuben (with house cured pastrami, jarlsberg swiss, house made kraut, reuben sauce on organic toasted rye).

But our personal favorite is the 49er Corn Dog. It's simply the best corn dog in town.
