Design Week, which kicked off yesterday, features a big list of events tonight, including open studio tours and talks at various locations, a Pop-Up at 111 Minna, which includes food, booze and local designers and vendors, and a Local Design Market at Zinc Details, which is a cross between a conventional exhibition and design pop-up shop where Bay Area designers, artists and makers will be showcasing their products, which will also be for sale. STORYTELLING: The staff and friends of the Center for the Art of Translation present A Night of Fairy Tales, in which Kate Bernheimer, Ilya Kaminsky, and Maria Tatar "take the audience down the slim path into the dark woods with readings from classic and contemporary fairytales.
