In the latest update from 2012's wave of knife crime, here's another reason to never, ever attempt to use one of those green J.C. Decaux pay toilets around town: A 57-year-old man was attacked and robbed at knifepoint while attempting to find a little quiet time alone in the one at Larkin and Grove early Thursday morning.

The suspect apparently burst into the self-contained street crapper and drew a pocket knife. During the ensuing tussle, the victim was slashed a couple times on his hands and the suspect took cash from the victim's pocket — possibly while his pants were on the floor. The victim was treated for lacerations on his hands, but the 35- to 40-year-old suspect evacuated the premises and has yet to be found.

As usual, anyone with any information about the slashing is encouraged to flush out all the gory details to SFPD's anonymous tipline at (415) 575-4444 or via text message to TIP411.
