Let's start things off by saying that if you're not reading Claycord, you're not living out loud. Really. It's a formidable site on all things Concord, Clayton, Pleasant Hill, Walnut Creek and Martinez. They use wonderfully mysterious terms like "Ygnacio Valley" while posting entertaining and informative articles bearing such titles as "Man Flipping Off Kids at Meadow Homes Elementary School." See? Fun. Furthermore, MSM and other mainstream sites pinch from them regularly without giving them credit — a victimization we know all too well, sadly — so you know they're good. They're that good. Shove Clayord in your RSS today, if you know what's good for you.
And with that, Clayord brings us word that the city of Concord will be getting its very own movie. It's called Love, Concord. "The movie, which is the first feature film ever to be filmed in the City of Concord, is a movie about a high school class clown who keeps striking out with girls, but finally gets a chance with one, and has to decide whether he wants to pursue the relationship, or keep his reputation as a class clown," Claycord reports.
Gus Guardado, the film's creator, says his rom-com flick will not only entertain but also paint Latinos "in a more positive light, instead of showing them in gangs, or committing crimes," showing that they have "the same normal suburban conflicts that others have."
