A relatively mild morning in Muni mishaps, as Bay City News reports a train on the K/T-Third line banged up a truck as it made a left turn in front of the light rail vehicle in Mission Bay. The LRV heroically prevented any injuries amongst the passengers onboard, but the driver of the truck was carted off to a nearby hospital to be treated for minor injuries.

The smash-up only affected outbound K/T trains on Third Street around commute time this morning. Shuttle buses picked up the slack while crews cleared the accident just South of McCovey Cove. Muni gave the all-clear announcement around 10 a.m. this morning, about an hour after the incident. So, you know, maybe they're not so terrible all the time.
