Another weekend brings another bit of knife-crime news: A 28-year-old woman was stabbed in the chest and slashed across the face during a fight with another woman in her 20s on Friday afternoon. The incident happened on the 2200 block of Mission Street, near 18th Street.

The victim was also punched in the face, and was transported to SF General with non-life-threatening injuries.

It's unclear what started the fight, though we're quite curious.

The suspect fled the scene and remains at large. Tips are, as always, welcome at 415-575-4444 or by text message to TIP411.
