Owners of divey Mission bars where people like to tag bathroom (and exterior) walls are increasingly sad about this culture of tagging that they seem to be a part of. As Uptown Almanac reports, several have associated the rampant tagging with the fact they serve PBR and Tecate, which, we guess, attracts an unsavory element that prefers not to go north of $3 for their beer choices?

Also, Pop's says they have to repaint the entire bar, inside and out, every week because independent insurance assessors will associate tagging with crime in the area, and then there's city fines to contend with if there's anything facing the street.

Anyway, Pop's did away with cheap beers years ago in order to shoo away the "kids" who do all the tagging, and the Blind Cat recently raised the price of PBR to $4 just to piss them off, too.
